I will be moving very shortly to the place my horse currently lives, but the items that are there will leaving. So, I need a good list/check list of items that I will need.
I did a search but that didnt give me anything helpful, a google search just made me want to stab my eyes out.
I know I have a good grasp on everything that I will need, but I really want to avoid needing and not having. Im also putting a good list together to give to my husband so when I ask for almost a thousand dollars for Misc. items hes mentally prepared
shovels (flat and pointed)
hammer (a good one) and assorted pliers and screwdrivers
spare buckets and feeders
spare lead ropes, cross ties
duct tape, electrical tape (you can fix almost anything with these!)
fence repair stuff
something to keep feed in (I use trash cans)
Fencing pliers (Tractor supply)..use for cutting open wire and string bales, hammer, leverage, use as pliers,...multi-use and fence repair.
twine/rope/roll of wire (for emergency repairs)
Large syringe to irrigate wounds if necessary
Depending on how far your vet is, a stock of medications to make it until the vet shows up (per his/her instructions of course). We have bute, banamine, SMZs. My daughter was a vet tech so we also have sedation, IV set-ups and fluids.

Broom (even if you have a dirt aisle and tack space, you'll want one for de-cobwebbing at least)
Wall hooks to hang all the stuff from
A GOOD flashlight or two reserved for barn use only (and spare batteries that are close to hand)
And definitely towels and a log book!
And a chair (folding camp ones work well) - it's nice to have a decent place to sit sometimes!
