    Default De Niro tall boots

I am interested in getting these tall boots from Smartpak. I have seen them before and they look really nice. Does anyone have them that knows about how they fit and the comfort of them? Was going to go with la mundial but have heard such awful things i am not going to use them. Parlanti and Tucci are really nice, but out of my price range.

I have them and really like them so far.

I had been in a pair of Ariat Heritage, size 10, reg height. However, they were too big in the foot. I could have easily worn a 9.5 (and in fact do in my paddock boots). I tried these on in a 40 (US size 10) and they felt roomy and I initially thought a size down would be too small. However, I did try the 39 (US size 9) and while they felt fitted to the foot, they have relaxed in the time I have had them and are perfectly comfortable. I also went with the extra height as my measurements put me between the standard and extra, and I'd rather them too tall than a bit short.

My one leg was the exact size indicated on the size chart, while the other leg was half an inch too big. I went with the sizing for my smaller leg. I struggled with the my big leg for a few days, but after a good dousing of boot stretch they have relaxed and fit well.

After two rides I felt fine in them.

The ankles are very fitted, at least on me they are. But I love them

Now, hopefully these links will work for you. Sorry I don't have any of me on a horse.

Don't have that exact model, I have the Leucas, but I loff mine. Mine fit exactly true to the size chart, were a breeze to break in, and are seriously comfy. I've had lots of compliments on them. They were my last effort at finding off the rack boots before going custom, so I recommend you give them a try.

I have the Ottaviano field boots, and they fit like a glove! I needed an XS calf and 1-X on the height. The drop has been minimal, maybe half an inch. I have little skinny ankles, and these boots are just perfect. They are really comfortable, and during the summer months I ride in them about 4x a week. When done, I just hose them off and towel dry, and they still look beautiful.

I definitely recommend them. If they came in brown without being a custom order, I'd get another pair!
Why do I like most horses better than most people?

Mine have been a big disappointment. Dropped close to 2" and stretched out to the point that i can put my whole hand down the side. The brass thing on the swagger tag came off after about a month and then after about 7 months the heels started to come off.

I ride one horse maybe 3 days a week? Super disappointing for boots that were a lot of money to me.

I have these boots (not with the patent tops or anything) and quite like them. The only thing that really needed to be broken in was the foot cause I have SUPER wide feet, the rest was quite comfortable right from the start. I even bought them quite tall for me, but that was never really uncomfortable either. I wore them a few times to get the broken in but they are only show boots so I only wear them at shows. I only did 2 shows unfortunately last year so can't say how well they will wear but they still look brand new.

(Sorry I am kinda fat in this picture, haha. I have lost 20 pounds since this!)

I LOVE my deniros! This dressage girl needed some boots for the occasional jumping, and ended up loving them more then her cavallos.
    Here they are on:
I don't know what model they are, but I chose to get the non-laced version. I was told that was acceptable in the hunters for the few shows that I do, and I liked the styling more coming from a dressage background. LOVE them. Did I mention that? Butter smooth... incredibly comfortable. I walk around with them at the mall. I might order my next dressage boots from them too!
