Default Anyone Need A Dover or Smartpak Gift Card? (cross post)

My wonderful friends got me Dover and Smartpak gift cards for my birthday and as nice as that was, I don't need them! I was pretty sure I could always spend money on horse stuff, but I think these cards may be better used by someone who needs them more than I do.

Is there anyone you can think of that could really use these cards? Could be a horse rescue, a barn friend going through a rough time, etc. The amounts are small ($25 and $50), but I figure it might make someone's day.

ETA: Thank you guys for the posts and PM's of suggestions. The new gift card owners have been chosen.

You could try a nearby IHSA team or 4-H/Pony club...I know many college teams have team gear to lend out to members who don't have the money to spend on, say, a pair of show breeches.

And like everyone else has said, this is a very nice thing for you to do!

Try a local horse therapy program that works with special needs students. Those hoses are saints and deserve a little sumthin-sumthin! Very nice of you!

If your local animal shelter houses/rescues horses, I'm sure they would greatly appreciate a gift card.

A therapeutic riding program would probably love them. Anything to get brushes, saddle pads, helmets.

How sweet of you! I would recommend finding a quality rescue or therapeutic riding program in your area. I know the rescue that I am the vet for would love a donation like that. And $75 is a great donation. Could make a real difference. (If you'd like to check out the rescue I do work with it is www.adoptditr.org) it's based out of Windsor, VA (tidewater/Hampton roads area).

So kind, CANTER came to mind unless there's something local to you.
