    Default IN/KY Trainer Suggestions, Please!

So I'm looking for a trainer for my green, six-year-old Thoroughbred. He's pretty sensitive, so I'm particularly looking for someone who has experience with and appreciates the Thoroughbred. My horse doesn't respond well to an aggressive/alpha approach, so I'd like to avoid that. I'm pretty new to the horse world, so I only know of a few local trainers and am having a hard time finding someone who I think would be a good fit.

I'd appreciate any suggestions in Indiana (where I am located) or Kentucky. Thank you!

Contact Nad Noon at Up-N-Over Stables. He is excellent. http://www.upnoverstables.com/

I used Sherry Noon (Nad's wife) to start two of mine. Go check them out.

Lindsey Oaks out of KY. Redletter Sales is her stable name if I remember correct. She is an amazing rider and trainer for sensitive horses. She has done *** and cross fingers will do Rolex this spring

Default Don't forget Lee Ann Zobbe

She is Come Again Farm. She is very well thought of by people on this board, I think. I have not ridden with her, but hope to this year.

Lee Ann is great with OTTBs. She helped me with all of mine (Like 6 or so). We got 3 up to prelim.
Jenn O'Neill from Lexington is also great.

I'll put in votes for Nad Noon (Nancy Kleiner also trains at that farm) and Lee Ann Zobe. Both are awesome. Noons would be close to you and easy to get to. I'd start there.

I second Lindsey Oaks. She has worked wonders with our sensitive Tb mare and really understands the Tb mind.

Default Another Recommendation for Lindsey Oaks

I 3rd Lindsey Oaks. Excellent with TBS, as she gallops racehorses in the morning before working with her TB eventers in the afternoon. PM me if you would like her phone #.

    Wink Dorothy Crowell

Dorothy has taken many horses to the advanced level including Rolex and WEG and they have ALL been off the track thoroughbreds. She is incredibly knowledgeable about the thoroughbred mind and knows just how to train an OTTB to reach its full potential in eventing. In my mind there is no one better at taking a horse directly off the track and teaching it to become a perfect partner for anyone in eventing.

She is located in Frankfort KY.
