I'm getting a new Equipe jumping saddle but can't decide on what type of leather. I can get both calfskin and printed leather for the same price..

Calf is softer and will break in easier. Grain leather is harder to break in but more durable.

I prefer grain leather but I ride a lot and like my saddles to last a long time. My favorite has been in hard use for 18 years and still looks good.

Don't ride in jeans if you get a calf one, ever!

Buffalo would be my first choice, then calf, then grain.

I go from buffalo to grain to calf. I personally hate calf because in my experience with it, it does not las as long.
I am on my phone 90% of the time. Please ignore typos, misplaced lower case letters, and the random word butchered by autocowreck.
