Need a vet surgeon in US SW states to do PSD fasciotomy-any experiences?
My mare has PSD/compartment syndrome and there aren't any surgeons in my local area who regularly (or possibly ever) do this surgery. I'm looking for a clinic that does, in the southwest. Has anybody in this area had it done? Just looking for experiences, references, etc. There are lots of threads where ppl on the coasts are having success, but I can't afford to go that far.
Thanks!

Where are you? The SW is a very large area of the USA.

I'm in NM, but willing to go to CO, AZ, OK, or TX (no further south than Dallas).

Thanks, Simkie, I will pass that info to my vet and have him call. I had a good experience @ CSU 7 years ago, but I'm not sure if they do much of this particular surgery. I just want someone that really knows what they are doing!

You could check with Dr. Moyer, at Texas A&M, he would be an encyclopedia of go-to's in your part of the country.
Some riders change their horse, they change their saddle, they change their teacher; they never change themselves.
