Default OCD pellets -- anyone use them?

    Folks,

I have a young jumper diagnosed with sesmoiditis. Has anyone used OCD pellets for bone issues in young horses? I cross-posted on the Racing forum as I see them advertised frequently on the horse racing channel, but no has responded.....love to hear from someone that has used the product and for what issue. And, of course was there any improvement?

    Thanks.

I used them on a warmblood filly that had OCD hock lesions. When I first got her, both hocks were swollen and hot. I put her on the OCP pellets and never felt heat or saw swelling again.

I haven't used OCD pellets, but used a similar product called Equi-bone. There was a thread here about it. I told about my two experiences on that.

I did use it for two different young (2 yr old onward) warmbloods. They were tall, leggy, fast growers. Both ended up having stifle OCD surgery later in life. Did the pellets help? No idea. Not like I had a control subject to compare to (not receiving pellets). For me, I figured it wouldn't hurt anything except my wallet.
