I'm moving to Charles Town, WV at the end of June, and will be moving my horse sometime after that. Any recommendations on where to board? My biggest wants are affordability and community. An indoor would be really really really nice. My background is local hunter circuit growing up (haven't shown in the past 10 years), gelding's is eventing, followed by failing out of summer camp, followed by doing whatever I can throw at him with a twinkle in his eye and a smile on his face (dressage, polocrosse, hunter pace...). We think we're pretty easy to get along with.
There is also a H/J place on 340, roughly opposite the Gordonsdale Cross Country Schooling facility, but do not remember the name, and don't know anything about the facilities, except they hold shows there.
chief feeder and mucker for Music, Spy, Belle and Tiara. Someone else is now feeding and mucking for Chief and Brain (both foxhunting now).

Elmington Farm. Don't know them, just seen it driving by is all.
FW is very correct. We have lots of facilities and activities and the right place probably depends on which you would like to concentrate. Besides the disciplines you mentioned, we also have foxhunting!
One thing you can give and still keep is your word.
Well, you could just buy my little farm for sale and then you wouldn't have to worry about boarding! http://www.311turkeyrunlane.com/ Sorry, I couldn't resist... I know this is probably advertising!
Charles Town is sort of a boring area, but Berryville and Shepherdstown are very close and wonderful! Shepherdstown is adorable...and has the best Thai restaurant around!
Elmington offers a ton of hunter/jumper shows - I've been several times. Charles Town is actually a really good location because you're very close to all the northern VA shows, the Maryland shows, and you can easily hop on 81 to head down to Lexington, etc.
I agree with all of Janet's recommendations, by the way.
