Thanks for posting this. I was fortunate enough way back in the early - mid 1980s to work for one of Bill's boarders at Great Island. Loved to watch Bill ride, and the nicest man as well. When I went to interview for the job and was waiting for Kay, my sister, who had come with me, had her baby daughter with her. Here comes Bill, and after introducing himself, he gets down on the floor with my niece cooing and playing with her. He still had Sinjon at that time who was blind and mostly deaf so we would have to yell at him to get his attention. Never saw a more pampered horse living out his happy retirement in a most beautiful facility. Ahhh memories.
