I absolutely love my ecogold saddle pads. Just don't like all the 'fluff' that other show pads have. Also show w/ a leather tad coffin half pad on top.

I am also one of the behind the times riders, I use a half pad and it suits Mr. Fussypants so not going to argue with success.

I never liked the half pad trend. One main reason was on those summer days when a horse is covered in sweat doesn't your saddle flaps get completely covered in sweat? That was never appealing to me.

Love my Ecogold pad!
I would not use a black pad in the hunter ring, ever.

Does anyone use the Success no slip fitted pad?
We're spending our money on horses and bourbon. The rest we're just wasting.

Always a fitted pad, either a fleeceworks or a toklat medallion, when I do the breed stuff I use a toklat superquilt with the number pockets.

My horse doesn't get that sweaty... I keep him pretty clipped since he's 1/2 curly. And I only jump 2' so, you know, it's not like he's working hard So it works for me. Just clean my saddle after we show.

depends on the pony but we show in a Wilkers custom Butet pad on one, a Fleeceworks on another and have a Mattes half pad that we don't use anymore but I'm saving it!

They do somewhat, I just give it a wipe down after and I've never noticed any actual salt marks or anything. I notice it more on my boots actually, so they get a good cleaning. I have a very short leg and a round barreled horse, so adding a full pad means adding another inch of padding under my leg which makes it harder to wrap my leg around my horse. That's why I use a half pad. I wasn't really a fan of the look until I had to do it myself and now it's grown on me.

I have a Butet/Wilkers custom fitted pad that I bought when I still had my Beval Natural. I've had 3 saddles since I sold that one and it has fit all of them. I like this pad because you can customize the seat size and flap length, plus flap degree.

I use a non-slip under my fitted pad and then the Ogilvy hunter pad. The pad is the exact size of my saddle so it's basically completely unseen. Perfect for extra support.
