Default Tell me of dressage in/around the Hanover, Maryland area

I see an interesting job ... what's the availability of excellent training for me and my horse? I did a quick google and found a lot of hits for the same place. Must be more ... ?

oh ... that is an excellent question. I have no idea what driving is like in the area, but I wouldn't want a barn that is more than 20 minutes from where I live. And I guess I wouldn't want to drive more than 1/2 hour to work.

All of which might be totally insane in that area.

I guess I could apply for the job and THEN check it out (what a concept!).

Huh. Up until last October I worked in Hanover. But I live in southern MD, and the pony is also south. Compared to the commute I did, I think you'll be fine up there, but my opinions have been skewed... (And yes, I changed jobs purely for commute...)

Well, from Hanover -- you're 30 minutes from the Chesapeake Dressage Institute and 45 minutes from Mt. Airy. Jaclyn Sicoli/Peace of Mind Dressage is out that direction.

Aviva Nebesky is a USDF "L" judge and her barn is in Bowie, roughly 30 minutes from Hanover.

Thanks for your ideas here (and via PMs) ... I think I'm staying put for a while. It's cold here, but at least we can ride outside, and work aside, I love my barn/trainer and assistant and am having a blast trying new things like obstacle training!
