    I find nothing odd about this at all. Other that that was some piss poor jerry rigging of a calf.

    Obviously you haven't spent much time around cutting horses.

    Pretty much normal -- a place I used to board had one run along the long side of the arena....though they didn't work the horse alone, it was always undersaddle.....

    Admittedly, I'm not a cutter in any way, shape, or form
    To be loved by a horse should fill us with awe, for we hath not deserved it.

    pretty cool the horse will do that himself. I'd love to be able to get into this someday!! says a lot for "cow sense".

    Yup we had one at the place where I learned to ride at. Except ours was run by someone on a tricycle

    And we used yearling buffalo ( live ones) to really tune up the horses since they never go "stale" like cows do aka just give up and stand there.

    No experience with cutting horses, but I think it is totally awesome to see what the horse can do on his own without any direction from the rider.
