Gingers: Soulless Abominations Or Neglected Treasures?
I think it's time we had a thread to discuss that which we have not dared discuss before. A topic so controversial that they don't even talk about it on Fox News or CNN. So make a fresh pot of coffee and zip up your flame suits because we're gonna talk about.....GINGERS!
It recent times, it has been said in films and music, religious sermons, and publications from the scientific community that Ginger-folk are soulless, deviant, and duplicitous creatures spawned from the loins of Satan and that they are a serious threat to civilized society that needs to be addressed, some say with lethal force, before there can truly be peace in our time.
However, some say that Ginger-folk are really gentle and intelligent beings that have been wrongfully blamed for many of the misfortunes that have befallen the society recently such as, Barney, Asian Tsunamis, The Twilight Saga, the High School Musical film series, and the popularity of mixing energy drinks and alcohol by young adults.
Where do you fall in this? Do you believe Ginger-folk are a menace or a blessing? Do you know any Ginger-folk? If so, what are they like?
Thus do we growl that our big toes have, at this moment, been thrown up from below!
3 of the 4 years of high school I dyed my naturally blond locks ginger. I loved it! I am naturally pale with light eyes and freckles so it worked. Now as an adult I have strawberry blond high and low lights.
As far as real gingers....I dated one, am friends with many and I don't think they are devious or menacing...but birds of a feather and all
Dh and I are both gingers, although I'm a more strawberry and sun-kissed blond. Well, used to be, not so bright and shiny anymore, but the silver, as opposed to grey I guess, does lend a nice sparkle.
Dh is the true ginger, well, used to be, now his head and beard are just about all white.
As a team we are kind and generous-hearted, intelligent and wise, aware and interested in world affairs, fun, funny, and way cool to hang out with. Especially the Dh.
Sometimes I do have to wonder about him though. I don't know if it's a ginger thing or not, but he can sure get on my nerves.
My daughter had red hair as a youngster, then she lost it. DH was a carrot top in school and has since darkened to auburn. I married a red head for a reason, and dammit, we are going to keep breeding til I get a red headed child. I love auburn hair, I think I am too dark to be able to throw a milky skinned redhead, so a carrot top is unlikely for me
