Default Connecting high tensile to horseguard?

I have horseguard bipolar fence (without a ground), and i'm working on building a new pen for my goats with high tensile wire. Is there a way to run both fences off the same charger? I assume I may have to run a ground rod or something? Help for the un-electricity-inclined, please!

Our high tensile wire NEEDS a low impedence charger to work. It pushes a lot of electric on our 8-wire tensile fence runs, many feet in length.

Not sure if what you have on the horseguard is the same kind of charger or "just" a regular wire charger. Go read the label of the charger so you know the TYPE of charger you have!

Asking that question on a search, the Horseguard site lists needing a low impedence fencer in the specs for building a fence! Here is the link:

Yep, I have a low impedance charger.

I have this 50 mile charger and about 2 miles of fence. ;-)

Sounds like you are good to go with both kinds of fence! I like my Parmak charger, been a good brand for us. AND you can get them fixed if needed.

Easy peasy ... Make the new fence touch the old fence at a post. New fence is now charged. Provided new fence is insulated from any path to ground.
