    Default Heartbroken

Yesterday, On Valentines day. My friend(and BO's) daughter lost her horse. He was her best friend and in a freak accident broke his elbow coming in from the field. She is being so brave and stoic about it but I can't even imagine how she feels. So are there any COTH'ers that make the horse hair bracelets? IF not if you could reccomend someone that is really good that you or someone you know has had experience with? I asked the mother if i could have a lock of his tail to have one made for her. Thanks in advance...

Sorry for her loss. I know this isn't what you asked, but we had to put down my daughter's pony just before Christmas, and she made a tribute video. It really helped her work through her grief, and it makes her feel better to remember the pony this way. Here's a link to the video. (Grab the tissues.)

If the kid has any video skills at all, this is really a great way to remember the horse.

Thank you all for the kind words. She has a lot of friends and family helping her through this. He was a class act horse. And will be greatly missed by all.

makes beautiful bracelets with horse hair in them --- the bracelet leather, available in several colors, looks like a padded noseband, has a buckle closure, and the horse hair is braided and inlaid in the leather. Very reasonable cost, too.

I replied to this thread but will reply again. I have used Pony Locks a few times and their work is beautiful. They even returned the extra hair washed and conditioned. I recommend them highly!

I am so sorry for your friend's loss. I lost my best friend in the pasture about 7 weeks ago and it still hurts a lot. I understand her grief and hope she will be able to remember him and smile soon.
