Mare urinating blood and pus -- jingles needed. Update post 27.
My 28 year old mare, Dyna is urinating blood and pus. She lives with my parents (4 hours away from me). My mother has called the vet, who says he'll be out this afternoon. I'm told that she seems to be feeling fine.
My parents got Dyna for me when I was 10. I'm 24 now. She hauled my butt from crossrails to large pony hunters, winning every time. She has qualified for Pony Finals. We used to have a ton of fun going on hunter paces together. She has been foxhunting before, done costume classes, and let me ride her with just a halter and leadrope. Dyna taught me to ride and showed me what fun it is to win and be good. She also taught me that there are lions in the woods and that a puny little preteen is no match for a pony mare in heat!
When my parents were offered more than twice what they paid for Dyna, they turned it down. Though it may not have been the smartest financial decision, they agreed with me that a pony who had done all she had done for me deserved a forever home and comfortable retirement.
So, please jingle for my friend and teacher of 14 years. Any insight on what might be going on with her will also be greatly appreciated.

Blood and pus sounds like an infection possibly from an injury (pus from an abscess?) , I would think, so...some kind of infection in the bladder or urinary tract? Jingles the vet finds out what's wrong and can make her comfortable. Good for you and your parents for giving her a good retirement and good care...
