Current best price for Pentosan?
Hi all,
I know this has been discussed ad nauseum last year, but I need to know...aside from ordering from HorsePreRace (which I won't do; I have been unable to verify their production lab in Panama), what is the price you are paying for your Pentosan?
From Wedgewood? Horsemedsonline? Your own vet? Somewhere else?
Thanks!!

If your vet will give you a script to order from Wedgewood, that's probably your best bet.

Just got it from Wedgewood. 100 ml bottle, 250 mg/ml.
It was right around $160 delivered.

I get the 100mL vile 250 mg/ml from US Compounding Pharmacy from $115 delivered. This is not a special price, either. I have gotten the same price each time (have ordered from them 3 times) and they're really easy to work with and ship very quickly. I do a lot of research before I buy... not sure how I even came across them, because they mostly do people compounding. Anyway, best of luck!

Do you need a rx for this place? Do you know if they ship to Canada?

Shoot, I didn't know they had a 100ml bottle. I just got my 50ml today for $119 with shipping.

I emailed them earlier today asking these very questions - I'll post back when I get a reply. Wedgewood will NOT ship to Canada (I already checked with them).
I've spent most of my life riding horses. The rest I've just wasted.

Yes, you have to have an Rx. Not sure if they ship to Canada. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Wish my vet would give a script to order from them instead of getting it through him... sure would save me some money

Laurierace, I think we both placed our orders on the same day! I had been getting mine from horseprerace, but I got a script from my vet to order through Wedgwood. Now lets see if I can see a difference in the product and its results!

I received an email from US Compounding Pharmacy. They unfortunately DO NOT ship to Canada at this time.
Sourcing Pentosan at an affordable price in this country is proving to be next to impossible. Sigh.
ETA - I had a bright idea yesterday. Emailed US Compounding Pharmacy asking if they would ship within the US if I had a prescription from a Canadian vet. They said absolutely. I am only an hour from the border. Now I just need to wait for my vet to get back from vacation to discuss. There is hope for us Canadians who would like to try Pentosan!

WOW. That is an amazing price from Wedgewood. My vet hospital will not rx to them, and now I know why....
Horsemedsonline wants $800 for a 100 ml/250 mg/ml bottle. I'm gonna have to try another vet and see who will rx it for me Thanks!

I love the vets that aren't trying to make a buck off an Rx

I would find a new vet. In many states they are required to write a script when asked. It is also considered unethical to mark up a compounded drug per the AAEP. I am guessing your vet is also selling it right off the truck, yup, they aren't suppose to do that either! New vet time!

PentAussie is half the strength of the Pentosan with glucosamine added.
