My NEW OTTB Cutie!! She needs a barn name!
Meet Fancy Francine!! We brought her home today!!
After a CRAZY escapade getting there, I am now the proud owner of an OTTB!!! She was an adoption through New Vocations, that had been previously adopted. Unforeseen circumstances required the old adopters to bring her back, but lucky for me, she now is home with me!!! I can't wait to ride her, but I know I have to be patent, but ahhhh the urge is overwhelming!!
We are trying to come up with a barn name, so far we have Francy, Fancy Pants, and Frankie.

Aww she's cute! Love the blinged out western style grooming halter.
Ok I admit, I'm not very original. What about Frannie? I like Frankie btw.

I agree with judybigredpony. Fancy is what she is and will become as an event horse. Call her what she is, "Fancy".

I think Frannie is super cute. I would probably be tempted to combine it with "Frannie Mae" or "Frannie Sue" or something like that. Cute mare, what are your plans?

We're going to event of course I have been having so much fun with her! I rode her yesterday and I'm hoping to ride her again today, but the weather is not being cooperative.

I'd stay away from Fancy. That can easily morph into "Fancy Feast" when you get irritated with her. I braided one years ago that got nicknamed "Fancy Feast because you're not even good enough to be dog food!"

She's awfully cute!
I actually rather like Francine... even though that's not really changing her name! I think it's cute and different.

You could go with Cino. Francine--Cine--Cino. As in "see no evil" behind the big cross country fence. Sorry. Couldn't help it. She is very cute, though. Good luck with her.

Fanny...having just watch "Mansfield Park" a Jane Austin novel the heroine was named Fanny Price. Fanny is an old timey nickname for Frances.
