Default Geoff Teal Clinic: What To Expect

    Hey there!

So for those of you who have been to a Geoff Teal Clinic what should be expected?

What sort of preperation (besides the normal) would you suggest before going to this clinic?
    -excercises
    -outfits
    -expectations

    Thank you!

Geoff is fantastic to clinic with.

He is very traditional. All the normal rules apply: horse shining, tack in perfect order, rider conservatively dressed with a stick & spurs.

You might want to take a look at his book (http://www.amazon.com/Geoff-Riding-H.../dp/157076333X) if you can find a copy - wow they have gotten pricey!!!!! It does detail his usual exercises and what he looks for when schooling horses and riders.

If you can't find the book, he's written some articles for PH, I believe:

I am envious of your opportunity. I'd love to lesson with him again, it's been years.

He is very knowledgable and can really improve your riding. He is impatient and does not suffer fools. You need to check your emotions at the door and be there to learn from him.

Yikes, I can't believe how expensive that book is, I had better take good care of mine (or maybe sell it for a small fortune!).

I audited one of his clinics, and my strongest memory is that he is adamant about a solid leg and deep heel.

The Kindle version is $15. I believe you can get a free Kindle reader for any computer or tablet. Have a great time at the clinic, and please report back!
