Default Quiet QH type trail horse WANTED

My barn mate is looking for a quiet trail horse type horse (gelding preferred). She is older and on the heavier side so a stocky QH type would be ideal. Not specific to color or breed. Should be around 14-15 hands ideally. Free or as cheap as possible.

This horse would be used for light trail riding in the good weather and maybe a spin or two around in the indoor when the weather isn't so good. A horse with minor issues is fine as long as he is still rideable. Older horses are fine too, just not youngsters. Gaited horses are welcome to as my friend had a TWH cross that was her heart horse.

The horse would get at least 12 hours of pasture turnout daily. Even in the inclement as all the pastures have shelter. Ideally this horse would share a 5 acre pasture with my gelding who just lost his pasture mate.

The horses at my barn always have access to clean, fresh water and get warm, bedded stalls at night. The horse would get lots of attention and grooming. My barn is on 50 acres but the barn owner limits the property to 8 horses. There are private trails and we are 5 minutes by trailer to a state park.

We are located in East Central Illinois but would be willing to travel within a reasonable distance to pick up the horse. I have a truck and trailer and can provide the transportation.

Thank you for reading. Please PM me if you have any leads or tips. Any info is appreciated!

It's generally a good idea on this forum to post what TYPE of horse you are looking for in the title since they are all supposed to be "free".

JanWeber, thank you so much for your suggestion. I've changed the title to hopefully draw the right person's attention. Thanks again!
