Miracle Whip is utterly disgusting. I'd rather eat a dry sandwich than put that sludge on it.

I generally prefer mayonnaise if I don't have to make it by scratch with a hand whisk, but I honestly don't taste a HUGE difference and generally don't use either one.

My mother, otoh, has a violent aversion to Miracle Whip.

I rarely eat either but I prefer mayonnaise (and I'm not particular about which brand).

I actually knew that because when I lived in Hawaii, I discovered Best and something about the label was enough reminiscent of Hellmans that I tried it. Good thing, because otherwise I would've had to move back to the mainland! LOL

Hellmann's. There is no other. I had to educate my southern-born hubby in 1995. He's never looked at Blue Plate again.

MW only goes in my chicken salad.. EVER. Without it, people say "Hmmm, something's missing."

There used to be a jingle in their advertisements in Minnesota that went "Bring out the Hellman's and Bring out the Best." I didn't get what I presume was an intentional pun until I first saw the Best version somewhere else.

Neither. I use Vegenaise! I like the grapeseed the best

Even my mayo loving husband loves it.

I only ever use Miracle Whip in a broccoli salad recipe I have that calls for it and doesn't taste quite right if you use mayo. I have to sneak the jar of Miracle Whip into the house because my husband has an irrational fear that I will feed it to him in a sandwich! But he does love my broccoli salad!

I loathe MW, and I dislike mayo in anything but tuna salad or egg salad. On a sandwich I prefer just mustard, no mayo. My SO is a MW guy, but he knows that I will not eat anything he's put MW on.

Canola or Olive oil Mayo, all the way. Grew up on MW. Can't stand it.

I love Miracle Whip, because it's all I had growing up, and I've never been able to stand Mayo. I guess it's all a matter of taste, and what you're used to. I don't use either much anyway. The part that disgusts me about all of that is that it's basically almost all fat, and even the 'low fat' stuff is still extremely high amounts of fat.

I'll stand-up for the MW crowd Love it on a sandwhich. I only use mayo for dips or dishes that specifically call for it. MY DH could care less which he puts on his sandwhich, so he gets MW

Just make your own. Very cheap and seriously the easiest thing in the world. I will never eat store bought mayo again.

Unilever also makes "Hellmann's Real Whipped Tangy Dressing" which was created to appeal to those eaters who prefer Miracle Whip. Because as folks know Miracle Whip isn't mayo rather it is dressing.

Hummus makes a pretty good spread for turkey and chicken sandwiches.

Neither. The taste/texture of both is, to me the worst thing in the world. I hate mayo or miracle whip. My BF loves mayo and I refuse to make him a sandwich with it.
