sorry, but nobody needs PETA. Ever.

The photographer was certainly not a very right bulb either....you are to stay the heck away from under suspended cargo....a pony dropping in is only fun at Christmas...

If this is same article I read, these horses, including cows, are imported into Indonesia for consumption. The article showed cows hanging by a rope around their neck and like the horses suspended from a crane. The article stated many of the cows are from Australia.

Even when a horse is in real trouble and being rescued, in a ditch or bog or lake or wherever it has to be hoisted out of, no one with any sense would hang a horse like that, if it's life depended on it.
    That is stupid and barbaric.

Edited to ad, after reading the last post, if they are going to slaughter them, they should shoot them first and then they can hoist them however they want, probably easiest by a hind leg.

    Yikes!
As hard asthat was to see and as painful as that "method" looks, I gotta side with Renae here.
If the animals are being transferred you'd think they would want them to arrive alive & usable, yes?

    Second this.
Never, ever give RARAs a seat at any animal welfare issue table, regardless of whether or not they will do any "good" in that particular instance. Ever.
