That took my breath away. I do not understand how the horses do not get internal organ damage.

Oh my goodness! I agree - that MUST result in permanent damage for at least some of them!

My solution? Transfer the shipping company executives the same way and this will never happen again.

Clearly "think ahead" was not a strategy this company uses ...

"Horses are hoisted in the air by a crane as they're being transferred from a cargo ship onto a truck upon arrival at a port in Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia, Feb. 8, 2013. Hundreds of horses and cows arrived at the port from West Timor to be distributed to various cities on the main island of Java. (Trisnadi/AP Photo)"

I wonder how many they lost to "collateral damage". I can't imagine none of those animals came away with some sort of injuries let alone how many ended up in the water.

Wow, that is seriously scary. The gray horse looks like its about to fall. I don't know who any horse would tolerate that!

Although it is not right, I am surprised by how shocked y'all here are. In other countries people are sometimes treated no better http://www.nydailynews.com/news/nati...icle-1.1258314
