Looking for melton and bedford cord cloth for beagling frock
Does anyone know of a source in the UK or US that sells it? Green - not navy or black. This is for a beagling frock coat.
I purchased a used frock that had someone elses livery on it. My club does not have facings; only piping. I can't find a color match at the local fabric stores and certainly can't find the proper fabric. And I can't leave the colors on the collar.
I already checked with Horse Country; no joy.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Here is another one, Jessie.

Lots of different shades of green, too.
What weight did you want for both fabrics? There is a semi-custom tailor in Middleburg, by Journeyman's Saddlery, that may have what you want. I got a Harris tweed hacking jacket for Sir Bradley there. The fabric swatches were lovely.

I can drag the frock up there - do you know if he's open on Sunday? Do you remember the name of the store - I can call.
Thanks so much. Both of you.

Don't give up on any of the larger local material shops. I was able to find a serviceable match for some black meltons I needed to do the same to right here in town. Many will order for you also. There's a big material shop in Centerville that might have it. Anita R. knows the name. Matching's gonna be hard because of the sun fading/wear/dry cleanings that your coat may have had.
AND....I had one tailor take mine in and use the extra sleeve/hem material for the collars. Perfect!
Good luck! That's a terrific looking coat on you!!

If you are anywhere near Washington, DC, give G Street fabrics a shot.
