    Default bellboots/snow

I noticed when riding my horse in the snow we got last weekend that the bellboots she wears 24/7 get pushed up on her ankles when she's moving through the deep snow. She is prone to pulling her front shoes off with her back feet but now I feel like I shouldn't ride her in them when there is a lot of snow on the ground.

Today I rode without the bellboots and everything was fine, but I am wondering if there's some kind of snow-friendly bellboot alternative. My farrier would be reeeeeally not happy with me if he knew I was riding her without them on Any ideas?

Here are some photos of our fun in the snow:

you can see how the bellboots are getting pushed up.

    from today, no bellboots

    good horsie

You could try these; they're quarter bell boots and not as loose as a conventional bell boot. Won't do you much good if the heels of your horse's shoe are extended & the boot doesn't cover the heels of the shoe.
