Huh? Other than the constant criticism of top international competitors, I don't recall anyone else ever being villified for GOOD riding, whatever the tack.

Ahh.... yes, we have forgotten the bareback thread. (or perhaps some never saw it.) I will dig it up later. Short summary, an amateur queried about it, then a pro who advocates it joined in. They were attacked for promoting such a 'stupid' idea, how much they sucked as riders, claiming they knew other dressage trainers, etc. It was quite the open minded, useful, discussion.

Lovely video which IMO proves the long-lasting benefits of correct classical training with appropriate tack. Not saying one can't get there without a bit and saddle, though I've never personally seen it done.

She's not a stupid woman so doubt very much she would flaunt the rules in this way. She knows she is under scrutiny and has other options- gastrogard.

Ulcer meds . I would guess that whoever feeds the horses made a mistake since W.N gets this medication and is in adjoining stall . Bad luck for Isabel . .

There's a difference between playing with a made GP horse bareback and advocating a wholesale switch to bareback training (esp using the Patented Bareback Saddle-That's-Not-A-Saddle, on sale now for $249.99! Act now!).

Awesome video -the horse is so forward and she is so relaxed. Thanks for pointing out she had no bridle because that explains how sometimes she seemed to be heavy handed. I threw the description into Google translate but it missed some of the idiomatic expressions.

This only encourages me more! As for the criticisms and excoriations on previous bareback threads -I am reminded of the Dressage Curmudgeon's cautionary thread about dressage forums being like Walmart and the interesting behaviors you see when the equivalent of Vera Wang visit's Walmart http://dressagecurmudgeon.blogspot.c....html?spref=fb

It appears this must have been the thread in question since the poster lost her temper there. Nothing she claimed on this thread about it was true. Go figure.

The issue there was advertising and overpriced bareback pads.

What does this have to do with a video of Isabel riding her horse bitless and bareback?
