I have searched, but can't find this.... I have treated my 8 month old colt for a month after he started cribbing unexpectedly. I did not have him scoped. Other than the cribbing, he actually seemed fine.
He has since been weaned (he was not at the time he started cribbing), and still seems to feel fine.
I wonder though, about giving him pop rocks every so often, just because, just in case? I did wean him off of them. Do any of you use them for short periods, and if so, what time frames? I haven't been able to find answers to this anywhere, thank you!
We're spending our money on horses and bourbon. The rest we're just wasting. www.dleestudio.com
It takes 2-3 days for a proton pump inhibitor to fully down regulate the proton pumps in the gut, so using them only "as needed" may still help but it may not provide maximum coverage if used for less than 3 days.
