Like a few others here, I just started watching this show this year. I am not a sitcom fan because I find most so ridiculous. Ever since Seinfeld went off the air, I haven't really watched any. Happened to catch a part of one BBT on TBS, and OMG. My husband and I are hooked.

Some fav scenes are, one, the one where Sheldon is teaching Penny "A LITTLE physics." My husband loves that one because he guest teaches some grad students in Statistics. So we love that one.

And two, we love the one where Penny is teaching Sheldon some acting so he can teach a class and relate better to his students. But when he goes into that little trance and starts talking about Spock taking him to another planet, and says, quoting his mom, something like "Shelly, get in that space ship. Momma's late for Indian Bingo!" Funny show.

It's not spelling police, it's someone's name! And "Rodge" wasn't even close. If I'd been off on somebody's name like that, I'd appreciate knowing.

One of my favorites is the one where Sheldon has to make a speech to get an award so Penny takes him shopping for new clothes and then gets him drunk at the event.

Anyone else read Chuck Lorre's vanity cards at the end of each show? Some are hilarious!

LOL! Loved that one! And Penny calling his mom, "Hi, Mrs Cooper? I think I broke your son."

When the credits end and the vanity card is flashed at the end, simply check the card number at the top of the screen, then go online to Chuck Lorre's website and read the entire posting. I do that for all his productions. He's a very witty, creative person. Most of his posts would fit right in with the COTH family.

Also loved Sheldon's interactions with his mom when he got mad at the guys and went home to Texas. Saying grace before meals, etc. It didn't take long for him to forgive his friends and go back with them.

Jim Parson's mom used to teach at my kids' elementary school, and now teaches at a school, along with his sister, next to my boys' high school.
He comes home often. I'm prepared to stalk the local grocery store next time he's here!

My favorite episode is The Einstein Approximation...aka ball bit bazinga!!

My brother-in-law got us the BBT board game for Christmas. Absolutely hysterical. Well worth it for a crowd of BBT fans-- we played for hours. I'm terrible at trivia but happen to be absurdly good at RPSLS, so I almost won!

    Thumbs up

The rerun I am watching now is the one in which Howard and Raj sign Sheldon up for on line dating.. enter Amy.
"we finally have proof that aliens walk among us"
    "greetings fellow lifeform"

"I have never heard the phrase 'YeeHaw' used in quite that context"

"good morning, Leonard. Or should I say, yeehaw."

    I laugh every time.

(this is also the episode where Leonard visits 'Darlene' to see if she would like recreational sex).

Thank God for TBS, and they play 2 episodes on our FOX channel every night too.

My favorite TBBT moment remains the earlier episode where Sheldon is obsessed with trying to figure out some theorem and winds up in a kid's ballpit at night. When Leonard goes in to get him, Sheldon dives under the balls and pops up saying "BAZINGA!" before diving back down again.

My hubby and I also fight over who gets to shout "BANG!" at the end of the show's theme
That's my favorite episode too. Seriously one of the funniest things I have ever seen!

I love this show so much. Probably the only thing on TV in a long time that makes me laugh out loud.
