Default Very proud of my brother

My brother rang me,,,he said "I'm calling you because I knew that you would understand".
Pete then proceeded to tell me that he was waiting for the subway at 23rd street. This 6'2" guy bumped into my brother and asked for a cigarette, my brother got a bad vibe from him,,,thought he was high. Pete then backs away from the edge and put his back the the wall. He then told me that he bent down to tie his shoe and tied one then instinctively looked up. The big dude was gone and people are looking on to the track. Pete went over to see the guy laying unconscious on the track. My brother jumps down and is struggling to pick up this dead weight. Now the crowd is yelling at my brother that a train is coming,,,Pete then screams at them the he can't let this guy die! Another bystander then helps Pete by grabbing the unconscious by the legs,,a good push and pull gets the guy on the platform and Pete scrambles up just I time. Pete checked that the guy was breathing,,transit came in scene,,my brother then got on the train,,with no one knowing his name.

Wow. He saved a life! So very smart of him to move away from the edge ASAP. Those platform tosses in the news lately are beyond weird. And I'd be afraid he was shamming unconscious down on the tracks and would grab onto your brother and hold them both there until the train came. Ugh. So glad your brother is ok.

See, now your brother is a "hero"--he did the right thing, because he was there and knew he was the only person in place to get it done. He expected nothing in return and didn't do it for the excitement or recognition. It wasn't his job, it was his duty as a decent human being. Good for him!

So glad your bother Pete was able to save the man while still taking care of himself.

I too have a 'big brother' Pete. Must be something about the name as he has done similar for others as well.

    Pete is a rock star.

Comforting to know that there are still great men and women still out there, doing what's right just because.
