I still have family up there. So I try to get up there once or every other year for a long weekend.

I just got an OkCupid message from someone who reads like the CLASSIC nice guy (clearly looking for someone physically out of his league, which also indicates he didn't look closely at my pictures, long gushy paragraphs, likes to write poetry and stories 'inspired by' the woman in his life...) I was so tempted to reply that I am constitutionally incapable of giving anything but straight-up critiques of anything amateur I read, regardless of motivation, and am incapable of appreciating anything I find gushy or badly written. I thought that was probably unnecessarily cruel.

Funny, your OKCupid profile says you've been offline for almost three years.

Me? Different profile. I have at least two since I forget my login and it's just easier to create an entirely new account. I mostly just take quizes-I don't find it especially likely I'd meet anyone I'd want to date on OK Cupid.

Boy, do you sound judgmental and harsh. A stunning Rockefeller heir short-listed for the Olympics?

    I'm SOL on all counts.

Having said that, though, I think I'm too judge-y for online dating. I tried it once and it was mostly a double whammy - I didn't like the profiles of most of the men and most of the men apparently didn't like my profile, either. It made for some great funny stories, though, so it wasn't a total loss.

And it's rather unlikely anyone would wish to date you.

It takes a LOT to set my teeth on edge, but you've got it all.

Self love takes many forms. Gratuitous supercilious contempt for those who "don't quite measure up" perhaps is among those. Somewhere in the tailings

    Edited--wrong post.
Flip a coin. It's not what side lands that matters, but what side you were hoping for when the coin was still in the air.

Well, I did it. If anyone wants to take a look, I'm Kateebar on OKC. I think it's probably too generic, so tips appreciated!

Ponyfixer, I looked at your profile, I admit it! You seem pretty funny here, I thought it might inspire me.
