How about this one? I was a very young child, but I remember my oldest sister and older brother to this era of songs.

I remember Del Shannon's Runaway and dozens of others of that era.
Frank B, the artist that did the song I posted used the stage name of Lolita, and spent her life in Austria and Germany

I wasn't talking about the artist.
We had a couple of dates right at the end of my Freshman year. We both went home for the Summer, she didn't come back in the Fall.

Oh, no! I think Del Shannon is lip syncing! And faking playing that guitar! Can you imagine?!?
And loved the Herman's Hermits song. Peter Noone was here in concert at Doubleday Field in Cooperstown a few years ago, with The Beachboys. I was really there for Peter Noone.

Apparently in the 50's and 60's a lot of artist lip synced, it was because that way they had the full orchestra backup, and the sound systems weren't that great either. Also, I understand many of the teen idol singers weren't great singers, and had to have endless song tapings, with the good parts spliced together. And now a lot of singers are worried about the same things, but they don't have to worry about band backup, and sounding different in concert than they do in the studio editions.
