The Cat-Lapse Photography Project is scheduled for Caturday, 2/16.
This is mainly because Catness needs some prep time and because she and I were invited to my neighbors' rager party then. Perhaps we'll have some interesting shots.
Anywho: Snap a picture of your cat once an hour for all 24 on that day and post 'em. That's it.

For you and other fans:
The Kitten Cam-- http://animal.discovery.com/tv-shows...kitten-cam.htm
Horrible right now. Just a bunch of sleeping/dead kittens. Makes you wanna poke 'em with a stick (and then pet 'em).
Watch it to get a taste of what the Cat Photographers are in for. At least we only have to snap a shot once and hour. 24 hours of cat looks really boring.

Sadly, I must work on Saturday. I will see if Bacon will consent to have a bit of a lapse project.

I don't know which of my bizillion cats to photograph. My cats can be quite boring - eat, sleep, crap horrible cat bombs, sleep some more. Sometime in there they get in some vandalism involving either the garbage cans or breaking into cabinets.

Definitely Bacon. I believe I recollect that Bacon might have had a bit of a thread here when he was adop... errr... invaded?
Not sure what cat I would do. Batcat, Spooky, Squeeky, Diva or Ziggy Puff. Diva is the most active. But she likes sleeping under the couch.

You know, a cat might not know the difference between Caturday and any other day. Caturday is an invention of the interwebz. I think you can bug your cat for pictures on any day.

No one ever said that these pictures would be interesting or easy to get.

I got a great idea! Use a trail cam like hunters use for tracking deer. It is motion activated so you don't need to be there 24/7.
Oh, wait, just realized the error of this plan - might only get 1 or 2 pictures in that time period for the especially sleepy kitty...
But mine is pretty active, might just get photographic evidence of her actually scratching the chair. When I come home from work, see fresh claw marks and ask 'who's been scratching my chair?!' - all I get is that perfectly innocent 'who me??'.

He did have a bit of a following back when he invaded the fortress of kittehtude. That was then, this is now.
Do Diva just so we will know you were climbing under the couch for our amusement.

He's smart and big and knows where I sleep and where I keep the weapons. I'll check with him.

I remember that some sciencey types did an actual study on this a few years back. Turns out that cats do NOT spend the majority of their time sleeping. They spend the majority of their time looking out the window. Who knew?

I'm in! I have a particularly photogenic cat...

Okay, maybe not photogenic, but she does sit still for pictures. Normally because she's sleeping.

I'm in, for the waking hours. Maybe I'll do two. Becky because she is 13 years old and still looks like a kitten (though she doesn't play like one any more) and Rachael, because she's the youngest and most active.

One inspiration for this Cat-Lapse Photography project was the strap-on collar cams that captured cats on the prowl and during nocturnal hunts. Much more interesting footage than what our hard-won photos will reveal.

It may seem like I'm interested in what you're saying, but in my mind a bipedal wolf is chopping down a totem pole while yelling "BO-RING, BO-RING, BO-RING."
