The Cat-Lapse Photography Project: Moar weekend (for those who care, (not cats)).
I double-dog dare you to photograph a day in the life of your cat. That means once per hour for 24 hours, you take a picture of your cat.
Now you can't disturb or inconvenience the cat in any way. You must find it, unobtrusively snap your shot and go back to bed or whatever you were doing.
You worry that this will produce only a boring montage... a cat sleeping... more cat sleeping.... yet again cat sleeping. But people do time-lapse photography of plants, for God's sake, so a cat's 24 hours must be a little better than that.
At least I'd look at all 24 pictures.

Reason: Time has no meaning to a cat.

I might take you up on this since I'm not sleeping well lately and am recently unemployed. I guarantee they (all six of them) vary between sleep sleep sleep sleep and HUNGRYHUNGRYHUNGRY!

cowboymom, this sounds like the perfect mission for you! And contributing to the GNP, too!**
I'd be very glad to pay you what the Cat Day Photo Series is worth. You can feel like you have a job and also not have to file a W-2 from me.
**Or rather, you aren't subtracting from the GNP by making a YouTube video while you are at work.

Is that all that's holding you back? Lack of a cat?
Most places have extra cats lying around. Also, there is a thread here about some black kitten who can be in Texas or New York City.... if you want an imported cat.
Maybe you don't need to own the cat. There should be Cat Libraries where, you know, you can check one out for a while.

I'm not going to miss sleep over it, but, it would be fun to try it during the hours I am awake. I'll do it, starting with the 12 PM hour. Now, what cat to choose? Rachael, probably, since she's the most photogenic.

I love this idea, I would totally do this with my cat except 1)I need sleep more than anything on earth 2)Second to sleep I need my paycheck and they would probably frown if I went home every hour...

Haha, they wouldn't get their cat back, if my dog didn't eat it I'd forget to take it back in time and end up with late fees!!

The plan is moving forward: We need to pick a day.
Remember those photo shoots of people around the world taken on the same day? We are doing that for the Cat-Lapse Photography Project.
So a weekend day would be best? Caturday?

I've got about 10 pictures now of my cat's daily life. Not hour-by-hour because I just don't have the time. I do have some super cute pictures though
