Default mid-atlantic vets experienced with possible Si joint issues?

Hi--we are investigate this as an issue for a horse--but it seems like diagnosing and then successful injection requires an experienced vet--any suggestions on vets in Pa/Md area?

(And I must confess the use of extensive expensive diagnoistic tools is not real appealing to me - from what I have read here and eslewhere it seems an experienced vet can figure it out with out giving you a huge extensive diagnoistic bill?) TIA

Virginia Equine Imaging in The Plains, Va. WELL worth the drive--probably two hours with the horse from Frederick, Md.

I would recommend Dr. Kent Allen at Virginia Equine Imaging in The Plains, Va. or New Bolton. Sometimes a teaching hospital is good as a one-stop shop (all kinds of expertise/diagnostic tools in one place). If I had started at either of these places with my mare it likely would have saved me a lot in the long run. Good luck!
