I was so busy oogling the luggage (beautiful vintage LV) and the beautiful fishing lures, that I didn't notice what breed the horses were.

Fred, me, too! That LV trunk was gorgeous. About thirty years ago, I was at a small antique store north of Boston with my sister. They had a bunch of trunks in a back room and when I started going through them, lo and behold, I found a LV trunk covered with stickers from all the old steamer lines. I almost jumped out of my skin when I saw that it had a price tag of $125 on it. Because I was a broke college kid who spent all my money on horses, I didn't have it, but my sister did and bought it for $100. It's worth a small fortune now.

at about 81 or 82 min., you can see the horses. They look way too small to be shires!

    GAAAH. what a great find!
My husband is always out scouting old luggage too (along with old guitars, old amps....)

That is one of the many things I love about DA. The sets, the props, everything is so beautifully done.
That train going to Scotland for example.
I am not a train geek, but I bet there were thousands of people whose little hearts beat faster at the sight of that.
I find myself admiring all the details, especially when watching reruns.
Beautiful English artdeco tiles around fireplaces for example... the buttons and tucks on blouses and dresses.
And the hats. Oh, the hats. (swoon).
