I am lucky to board at a place with an indoor, but I swear, the metal roof is SOOO loud. When it's windy it cracks and crinkles and makes this sort of buckling sound that makes it sound like the whole thing is going to peel off any minute. My horse loves it in there on these windy winter days (which emoticon is for sarcasm?). I've been at this barn for ten years and I think it's getting worse as the years go by.

During the last storm a portion of the cupola really did blow off, which has cemented my thoughts that someone ought to -- well, do whatever one does to make sure a roof doesn't blow off.

I'm curious what others do (if anything) for metal roof maintenance. I think this building is ~ 30 years old.
