HI - my question is - when you buy horse feed , it has corn, oats , mollases, etc, - well
the corn if i am right causes inflamation , and so on ,i was just wondering is there
something different than using corn ,and so on , than what comes in a bag of horse feed .
- example what have you used.

Let's try it this way:
'I have a question. Horse grain has corn, oats, molasses, and other products in it. I have read that corn may cause inflammation among other things. I was wondering if there are any grains that do not have corn and if anyone can provide the names of these grains for me?
Thank you in advance for your help.'
Please, in no way construe that question as coming from ME. I am solely acting as interpreter in this instance.

Do you speak english? Are you using a translator? That is the only reason I can come up with for grammar like the above....Unless you have a learning disability, in which case, I am sorry.
It would take you a whole 5 seconds longer to type the question out properly.

Our horses get mostly hay and grass, very little feed. They do get stall rest when it rains, or for lay-ups, and X-rays as needed for injuries.
There is a barn nearby that proudly touts the fact that they do not feed corn but they have more long term lay-ups, X-rays, etc. due to the poor footing in both of their arenas. Funny what people latch on to regarding horses' health.
Maybe the OP can start a spin-off thread about poor footing...

HORSES-- there are dozens of ways to avoid corn when feeding supplemental grain to a horse. Perhaps talking to your feed store, barn manager, or trainer--a horse professional with experience, or even a vet or nutritionist, can help you. If you are still feeding "COB", you need to explore your feed store and read some labels.
Reading is a good way to get information. If you struggle with reading, as many people do, then asking questions of professionals is a good way to go.

So is the corn causing the stall rest or are we not supposed to stall rest injured horses? What say you COTH interpreters?

Duh, guys, horses were never hurt in the old days. Even though some people fed straight corn then. Clearly it's the feed companies, coming to your barn and crippling your horse in the night!

Thank you, dotneko, for your interpretation.
OP, just feed oats. Or barley.
I don't know what post #21 has to do with your original post.

I'm going to start wearing my tinfoil hat again. The martians are clearly in control. This was like reading a chapter in Hitchhiker's. Except this made no sense at all.

Beethoven--sorry, your feed regime includes high fructose corn syrup (Twizzlers) so, your horses will be crippled and on stall rest. Sorry. Maybe cupcakes instead?

I offer this translation for what it's worth:
"Why is it that [nowadays when] horses are hurt [in a foot or leg, if the injury is not so severe they must be put down or have surgery] they are put on stall rest[after] X-rays [are taken] ... horse people, get the point here ... back in the day [one] never heard [of] such a thing. Also, I don't live under a rock [ergo I have been around horses and kept up with the changes in horse care and feed and medical treatment since "the day back then."] Is it what they are eating [in this day and age that causes them to have more foot and leg problems?] I live and breathe horses!"
Just my guess ... I am not offering any comment, just a possible translation.
