Default Why isn't there a Pony Club Manual for parenting?

Check out Editor Beth Rasin't latest blog on The Chronicle of the Horse's website...

Did you have a stall chart on your child's crib?

As a mother of multiples, I can tell you that more than one mother of twins or above actually did use something like a stall chart. You are in such a haze of confusion, lack of sleep, and staggering shock at your change in circumstances that it would be very easy to forget to feed or change someone, especially if everyone looks alike!

I will have to say tho - never, in all my baby wrangling, was I ever as tired as I used to get after having been at a horse show all day, especially if it was 90+ degrees. And, I often used my experiences in my only competitive trail ride (most demanding riding I've ever done in my life) to say that if I could survive that, I could survive infants.

Loved the blog, thanks for posting it!

I want the pony club manual for teenagers. Where is THAT already?
A good horseman doesn't have to tell anyone...the horse already knows.

Might be a reason, never an excuse...

Personally, I think there is a need for a low cost spay/neuter program for humans. I've done four termination of parental rights this week and I've got another one next week. I think I've done at least 5 or 6 TPRs this month. OHH, we haven't taken many kids this month.

BuddyRoo, if you find that manual for teenagers, let me know. Arrrgh!
