On my way home tonight I nearly ran over a small dog running in the middle of the road. I had to stop and see if she had a collar -- she did -- and a tag -- nope, WHY can't people put a freaking tag on the collar? Long story short, she's a small beagle mix, quite old with three legs and the sweetest face, and I know she belongs somewhere.
If anyone knows anyone in the area who can pass this on, I would appreciate it. I have pix I can email. Our Humane Society in Cowley County is great, but overstocked, and I couldn't see her go there with a lot of other dogs and be scared to death -- so I am boarding her at my vet's for now. I'll be placing ads in the local papers tomorrow also. Just trying to get the word out to as many people as possible.
And if we don't find the owner soon . . . who wants a very sweet old dog?
Did the vet scan for a microchip?
Can you contact all of the local vets and describe her (3 legs) and see if any recognize her description?
Post on CL in Found ad.
Post in local newspaper.
Put fliers up all over the local area.
Drop off flier at AC and any rescues in area.
