So I have a 7 month old dog and I do know what mix she is. Everywhere I take her I am always asked what is she and people always guess different breeds. So far no one has guessed what she is but to me I can clearly see what mix she is. I am just curious what other people think. She is only about 15lbs and won't get much bigger. The rescue was guessing that she would be closer to 20-25lbs full grown. She is a mix of two breeds and her fur is soft. It is a little coarse on the top but is not wire haired. I don't mind talking to people but it does get a little tedious sometimes when I am trying to get in and out of a petsore fairly quickly.

When you own such a bundle of adorableness, you just have to accept the loving admiration from others that comes with it. I have no idea what mix she is, but I'll be watching this to find out.

Long haired Dachshund X Bassett Hound? Wild guess, but the long tail, knock knees in front, and bigger nose makes me think Bassett.

My friend had that cross, but a smooth coat Doxie was the other parent. "Chance" was a sweet little black dog, she ended up around 20 lbs or so....

Schnauzer/Cocker Spaniel

She is remarkably schnauzer-like in facial structure, ear carriage, and tail length. Her coat color and texture looks spaniel to me, maybe cocker. Considering the average weight for a schnauzer is in the high teens and a cocker spaniel is in the low 20s it would explain the projected weight in the low 20s but at the same time mixes usually come from poor representations of the breed so it makes sense that the dog could end up significantly smaller since many schnauzer and cockers are seen undersized in the lower teens.

Of course I might be totally off base but that was my thought process behind my guess.

Thank you guys so much! She is absolutely adorable and if I was anywhere near the movie business I'd be looking for a gig for her. She is extremly smart. She picks up commands and tasks after one or two times. She's graduated puppy class, a beginner agility class and is now in advanced obedience (she skipped novice) She will be taking her CGC in a month and I expect her to pass with flying colors. I totally get that people will stop and ask me what she is because she is so cute. I did add a few more pics including a few puppy pics. I also included one where her face is wet. She has quite a bit of hair and when it's wet she looks different. I know of about 90% of her breeding and none of that 90% is a terrier. The other small percentage could be but I have no way of knowing.
