Default Request from folks at Mane 'n Tail

Some of you may remember the NYC carriage industry/Mane 'n Tail situation (if you don't, and you're interested, you can search the thread, the phrase "Mane 'n Tail" is in the title)

We have kept in touch with the owners, and recently we received this in email. If anyone can help, please PM me:

"On a quick note, a dear friend of Mane ‘n Tail’s, Dave Cressman passed away last week. He was a Carriage Driver in our area, and such a lovely man. Most of his working horses have found homes. We are trying to find a home for two retired Morgans ( brother and sister— 29 years old and 28 years old) who have always been together and worked as a team— Boy George and Tina Turner). It is our hope to keep them together. Do you have any suggestions? I know Blue Star Equiculture was very full the last time we spoke, but if could put the word out, we would be super grateful."

Will pass the word along and say a few prayers...
Most people don't need a $35,000 horse. They need a $1,000 horse and $34,000 in lessons.

There is a rescue group called Forever Morgans that rescues, fosters and adopts out Morgan horses. They have a website and are on Facebook.

You may also want to contact the AMHA, they send email news bulletins to their membership and maybe they can drop a blurb in the next one.

No to Forever Morgans. Here's a link just for starters, but there's plenty more where that came from:

I would post about them on the CD-L list. (several thousand members who drive) Also carriage driving classifieds on FB... rather- I would tell the person who sent you this mail about those places.

Glad to see your still stalking McFlynn. Didn't you learn in grade school that pulling girls hair is not the best way to get them to like you ?

...but I wouldn't do that to the poor horsies - she'd probably expect them to use her kitty's litter box

Hope they find a great home!! Perhaps contact local therapeutic riding centers that could use a couple of older horses for kids to love on, they usually are always accepting good donated horses!
