    the completed rack

    second pic

we used a 4 inch round fence post. The base is 80lbs of concrete and we used a plastic flower pot I had laying around to form it. DH wrapped plastic around the pole and formed it upright in the container, once cured pulled the post, flipped it over and put the post in with the form at the widest part down. The bars themselves are rebar heated and bent with PVC covers over them to keep from snagging the blankets and then spray painted to go with each horse's color( the other woman is RED halter, bucket, etc- Mir is purple) and we screwed two eyebolts in about 4 inchest apart vertically to hold the rebar arms. The arms swing so you can have more room to move a blanket around and then push them all to one side for storage.

I'll let you know how I like it once I've used it for 6 months or so.
If i'm posting on Coth, it's either raining so I can't ride or it's night time and I can't sleep.
