We had a pretty good laugh last night with a BNR and his brother at a clinic dinner party.
So, I'm a Glee fan and for the first few seasons I thought their glee club was named "The Noon Erections"
For real, I really really did. It seemed fitting for the show.
I finally found out that they are "The New Directions"
BNT squad is all for me naming him "Neu Direction"
And we can all have a huge laugh when the announcer says it fast and it sounds like Noon Erection. They all thought it sounded like Nude Erection. Either way--that's super dirty and hilarious.
braaahahahahaa!!
Not sure I could handle trotting down center line--and cracking up. I wouldn't be able to regain concentration quite enough. : )

Hmmm... "New Direction" -- sounds exactly like "Nude Erection" to me. Is that why that boy band is named that!?

I totally agree with all of your reasons for hating it. I immediately thought of #2. I did not, however, think of "Friends" when you suggested "Fun Bobby." Because I know and love you, I can't give this name suggestion my approval. It a.) sounds like you're 12 and in doing so b.) casts OK into s/s and/or l/s forever and c.) is inspired, but not very creative. It also sounds NOTHING LIKE A HUNTER! You could retain some of his original name as well as link it to your barn name by calling him Blackjack Oak, a legit oak species with really big leaves. Or call him Smelly Cat or Ugly Naked Guy. Your choice.

Smelly Cat!!!
That could very well be a Jockey Club name, there IS a stallion named Judge Smells. Find me a Judge Smells foal from a Storm Cat dam....

I like Fun Bobby. I cracked up at Nude Erections/New Directions and I thought of this clip of Minnie Driver reading a list of rejected race horse names from British Racing Authority.....

Actually, it looks as if the name Hoof Hearted was not rejected in North America.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6NPKuyDWt4k

I'm going to do OKie Dokie.
Since his barn name is OK. (pronounced Oak of course). With the double capital he won't need a II. : )
You guys helped 90%. My friend Emily brought home the last 10% with the capital K.
: )
NeuDirection would be super duper though. lol.

My poor horse would then have 3 names. His JC. His barn. and then his Show? He'd be confused, no?
And he's a resale. So I would hate for a buyer to then change the name...again because it's a little..well, you know.
But it's pretty damn funny.

Ah, resale. Yeah that changes things. I missed that part. Definitely keep the name for future use though!

OP is referring to the show Glee, not the boy band.
