    The second video is a text book case of how not to get a horse up. Being in range of the head and neck or those feet when they start flying can be very painful.

    I've heard of horses getting cast in their STALLS, but...I guess if it's deep enough their back gets down, it gives when they try to brace against the "ground" to roll, and...."AGH! I'M STUCK!"

    Reminds me of the other day, went out to feed in the morning and one of the horses was stuck on the pile of hay that was what was left of a round bale. She had tried to roll and ended up stuck (not on her back) with just enough hay for it to be impossible for her to actually get up, she had too many blankets on to be able to go all the way over. Ended up just pulling all the hay out and she got up like nothing had happened.

    Oh great, now everyone's going to think it's cruel to turn out horses in the snow!! lol
