The U.S. edition of HH is a little fake, because the person already is in escrow, or actually is already closed on it. Apparently, the U.S. edition did this after the first seasons show, when some of the 'buyers' were not even shopping, and it was just an advertisement for the realtors and homes. And the first few years were only around Los Angeles, and had some minor celebrities on it too. The International edition is a total crock, because some apparently are totally fake. Remember the one in Abu Dabai or wherever the tallest building is? The architect and wife looked at an 'empty' apartment, and there was a dresser there with translucent drawers, and that's the one they rented, unfurnished but with the same dresser and clothes in it. They actually had lived there and were moving back to the U.S. And one young male realtor (really cute too) in Buenos Aires is actually a local actor, and he's been on two or three episodes.
I loathed the one in Louisiana, that needed a big garage, because that's where they kept her husbands cats.
I would love to see big property shows though. They have had some with property, but not something like horse property.

I LOVE this place and wouldn't change a thing. It's on the way to my cousin's house and it's just too cute inside. The horse part is simple and just enough, with a small barn, decent ring and a few fields. I hope horsie people bought it.

I have hated SS appliances since I was an au pair in Boston in '72-73 and the homeowner made me apply baby oil on her SS appliances every.day. They had 3 cats... you can imagine the rest.
I do enjoy the HH International, esp. when they are in France. I can laugh at the supposedly ease of getting loans and buying. But I do enjoy the locations.
I really liked the Cdn House Virgins because it often took place in Toronto and I liked the realtor.

This is a really beautiful historic property not too far from her. Beautiful house.
I've never been in the house, but my friend used to board here. Actually until I looked on the website I hadn't realized it was on the market.
Look how cute this barn is! Although if we're talking about kitchens... I don't know how functional that island actually is.
Love those properties!

This place near me is for sale. I have been there and the photos really don't do it justice. That is where my lottery winnings would go

The only thing that would make this place even better is if there was an indoor arena.

This place has been on the market for quite a while. The house needs work, but it seems like it could be a nice little property for horses.

Holy smokes! That much acreage, barns, equipment...half a mil. I am living in the wrong place.
The top one has tons of potential, needs an arena and more stalls . And with no pictures of the house, probably some work there too.

If I had the money and lived nearby, there are several on this site I would be interested in, though the houses are usually too big .

I hate when they have a MILLION house pictures and only an exterior barn picture. Screw the house. I really want to see inside the barn!

False Impression-Sandra Rinamoto (or however you spell it) was my favorite. I know the U.S. shows were really staged because she wasn't licensed here, but I still liked her and the show. She's apparently a really top agent, and I wold love to have her for an agent. The Toronto market prices are insane! And Love it or List it is so fake. I understand that they know before they start shooting which way it will go, and I think we all guessed the designer and the head carpenter weren't going to sell.
I think HGTV could do a great series of specials like the Million Dollar Properties, or exotic locations shows with ranches or horse properties, the way they used to show various houses around the country, and say how much they were worth.

When I was house shopping, an appraiser told me that things like fencing and barns did nothing for an appraisal. I was surprised by that.
And False Impression, why on earth would someone put baby oil on the SS appliances? I would think that would draw cat hair and dust like a magnet. Yuck! And if the cats rubbed up on them, then you'd just have oily cats.
