Default John Madden's Between Rounds Column on "A Bumpy Year but a Bright Future"

John Madden is right to point out that there are many bright young talents coming up the ranks, but anyone who follows Rolex/USET rankings would be quite aware of that. Just look at the top 20 ranked riders in the US: Reed Kessler (2), Katie Dinan (6), Briane Goutal (10), Saer Coulter (11), Jessica Springsteen (17). You should add talents like Lucy Davis, Catherine Pasmore, Karl Cook, and Kaitlin Campbell. The future looks pretty darn good.
It is pretty funny that the first three WEF Grand Prix, the winners were Charlie Jacob (an amazing weekend warrior), and two younger riders Reed Kessler and Briane Goutal. Looks like Robert Ridland's A30 (up-and-comers) is giving the A-team a run for their money and they are making it difficult to tell one group from the other!

Didn't Katie Prudent win the WEF class on Thursday? Just to show the other end of the spectrum can still be in the hunt, too.
