Teddi Ismond is located just behind the showgrounds at Hits Culpeper. She does an outstanding job targeting the mental aspect of riding. She has a wide range of clients.

x2. Teddi is great. She would be very good for a timid rider; in my opinion she could totally work in the field of equine sports psychology!

Is Teddi still there? I thought she was back in Keswick (Florida for the winter). Of course, the Charlottesville area is not that far from Culpeper and plenty of good professionals there (Teddi, Claiborne Bishop, Chanda Boylen, all of whom are good with adults).

Yes she is still in Culpeper (although in FL until the end of Feb).

Teddi is not coming back to the barn in Culpeper. I believe she is back from FL now but will be teaching out of Coventry Farm again in Ashland and also a couple other private barns in the Ashland/Richmond area. I don't know if she is planning on renting stalls in that barn again during shows this year, but she is definitely not planning on being there full time anymore.

If you are going to go as far as keswick, I suggest Jocelyn Martin as well. Excellent with the youngsters.

I second this being a "prone to show ring anxiety" amateur and I ride with Joce and her dad.

That actually makes sense now. I am going up there in a few weeks with a friend to have a lesson with her, and we are going to Coventry Farm in Ashland instead (although we were originally going to Culpeper).

We are going this month, the 23rd and 24th! If my car could pull a 3 horse I would say come on (just taking our two in a 2 horse from the barn)! If you can get a trailer/ride come on up, you can stay in the hotel w/ us
