    Link to their Facebook page:

    "COMING SOON!
Check out the incredibly talented 9 yr old, 16.2hh Thoroughbred gelding "Sam P" available for adoption later today! Sam has lovely movement that would lend itself well in the show ring and has already had jump schooling prior to being donated and has lovely form over the jumps! Adoption fee $3,000.
Stay tuned to our site for his profile that'll be posted later today!"

I always liked this horse and am glad he will more than likely get a very good home. I'm just surprised there was no mention of his racing accomplishments in his description, including starting in the 2006 Kentucky Derby. I can't help but wonder what he's been doing since he retired from racing in 2010...

Since he's already started jumping he's definitely in better shape than another recent TC starter up for adoption- Hey Byrn. I thought he was also at NV, but no, he was at Canter. I think he had to have over a year off for surgery and rehab.

Folks may recall this very ugliness in regards to Sam P who was retired, sold with a clause baring him from racing, and new owners returning him to the track ... the lawyers, judges, and stupidity of greed on display. Glad things worked out for him.

Me too. I thought his name sounded familiar, but didn't conjure that up.
