Default Creaky horse when she walks

My 6 year old mare always creaks when she walks. She has never been lame and is the most active of my three always running and playing when turned out. Should I place her on a joint supplement and if so any recommendations?

Could be something to it. But I owed a gelding that lived just shy of 30yrs that made a creaky sound always. He never took a bad step in his life. Even in rough country. He was the toughest horse we ever owned.

my horse doesn't creak....she POPS! just standing or turning her head or shifting her weight from one leg to the other. Weird but I pop & creak sometimes as well and I'm just fine

A young man I know of made an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon who laughingly informed him "We don't treat noises".

    I never forgot it.
Some riders change their horse, they change their saddle, they change their teacher; they never change themselves.

I have a 7 yo Haflinger gelding whose hip pops/clicks when he's walking/trotting sometimes - haven't noticed any rhyme or reason to it when it happens - there haven't been any similarities or certain times that it happens. He doesn't seem to notice though, and moves just fine. Had a vet ( a cranky, mean vet) check it out and she said there was nothing wrong, so.......ya......

My oldest mare who is 19 has been "popping" when she walks for a looong time. I haven't found anything that goes along with it and she seems to be just fine!
