Well, I was out with Martha on Saturday for that Irish side-saddle hunt, so I can confirm that she is great, the ditches were huge, and we all deserved a cig and drink at the end of it!

i'd have to go find it, but there was one pic in that series that mike posted of a woman coming off a ditch with her eyes squeezed shut--that would be me (if i lost my mind and tried to do this). actually, i'd just throw myself on the ground a few times and not bother getting on a horse at all.

i *would* like to ride sidesaddle sometime though; looks like fun.

That brave (Crazy?) attitude seems to prevail in hunting. I was drawn into the sport when I read here, in the hunting forum, a post by a woman mourning the loss of a favorite shirt that had to be cut off....no mention whatsoever of the injury!...just mourning the shirt
