I'm a reformed smoker and generally frown on the stuff, but that woman is freakin' awesome. *jealous*

Well, I was out with Martha on Saturday for that Irish side-saddle hunt, so I can confirm that she is great, the ditches were huge, and we all deserved a cig and drink at the end of it!

LOL, I never smoked, but I can see the deep satisfaction that cig is giving her after a heartbounding run!
(ohe heck, the way she is riding, it won't be the smokes doing her in! I am sure the devil can wait!)

Sidesaddle Rider - Wow! Good for you! It must have been an absolutely amazing experience. I got to hunt with the Blazers in November '11, and would go back in a heart beat...

A good horseman doesn't have to tell anyone...the horse already knows.
Might be a reason, never an excuse...

It was SO MUCH FUN!!! We are now planning to go hedge-hopping in England for a week in the fall, doing the Quorn for their Opening Meet and then some of the other Leicestershire hunts. Doesn't this look like fun? --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=UsRGonFLBuQ

i'd have to go find it, but there was one pic in that series that mike posted of a woman coming off a ditch with her eyes squeezed shut--that would be me (if i lost my mind and tried to do this). actually, i'd just throw myself on the ground a few times and not bother getting on a horse at all.
i *would* like to ride sidesaddle sometime though; looks like fun.

Balls to the m-f'in wall! Y'all some crazy broads, i love it! :-D I think I have a new mental image for motivation while riding, or needing a boost in general bad-assery.

If I could ride with someone that ballsy I think I might actually be persuaded to buy a foxhunter and re-learn how to post.

Devon, isn't there a whole album of these muddy Meath shots you could link here? I'm on my phone and thus internet challenged.
